What are the Health & Safety guidelines during the tours?
Your health and safety is of the upmost importance to us! In order to adhere to the guidelines of the provincially approved operational plan, we are certified with the Provincial Safe Haven Certification. Regular wiping of hard surfaces to ensure a safe, clean and disinfected environment. During the tours, we will also provide hand sanitizer upon entry/exit of the vehicle, asking everyone to please refrain from touching the door handles. The touring vehicle will be sanitized after every tour by steaming all cloth surfaces and wiping down hard surfaces with disinfectant cleaning products. We will not be providing masks at this time, however, you are free to wear them during your tour, but it is not necessary. Each location we visit will have guidelines laid out for us to follow as well, and we must abide by those at each location. If you are experiencing a fever, cough or difficulty breathing we ask that you cancel your tour with us and re-book following your illness. If the tour guide determines that someone is posing an undue risk to the health and safety of individuals on the tour, they are obligated to address the risk. This could involve refusing to provide services to a person engaged on the tour and if the tour has commenced, they will be asked to make other arrangements for return transportation. Our health and safety to all of our guests, is the upmost importance to us–thank you for following the guidelines!
Are you fully licensed, certified and insured?
Absolutely! We carry the proper classification of licence to transport persons in all of our vehicles. We carry a liability and comprehensive insurance.
Our guides are also Certified Tour Guides with the province of Prince Edward Island, carry valid First Aid and CPR Certification, Food Handling Safety Certified and hold a Responsible Beverage Service Program Certificate.
Will you accommodate dietary restrictions?
Yes, for lunch only we offer several options–please let us know if you require dietary accommodations. Just let us know exactly what your preferences are, and we will be happy to accommodate you. However, the tour stops will remain the same.
If we drive in to meet the tour, won’t we be too tipsy to drive at the end of the day?
We always advise people who must drive in for the day to arrange alternate transportation for the return journey, however for a fee we will return you safely back to your accommodation. Public transit and/or Taxi services are available in Charlottetown, Summerside and most rural areas. Please contact us for suggestions of fabulous local Inns, B&Bs & Resorts we highly recommend.
How about gratuities?
If you are pleased with the service and effort put forth by your tour guide, and the establishments we visit–you are most welcome to offer them a gratuity. Your thoughtfulness will be greatly appreciated. For larger private groups, we will include a 20% gratuity.
May I bring my dog?
Service animals are welcome on the tour. We restrict non-service animals out of respect to other guests and the food establishments can not accommodate pets–plus, we don’t want to leave your pet unattended in the tour vehicle!
What type of vehicle will I be touring in?
PEI|TASTING|TOURS small group vehicle is a black on black, full height Ford 14 Passenger Wagon XLT. With an easy access step-up, fully carpeted floors, reclining premium seating, this vehicle offers you impressive comfort for your small group.
